How To Measure Your Garage Door
Four measurements are needed to accurately order your garage door. Providing these measurements will help us better serve your needs.
How to Measure Your Door
  1. Width/Height—Measure opening door width and height in feet and inches.

  3. Side room—Measure for side room: 3-1/2" is required on each side for installation of the vertical track.

  4. Headroom—The distance between the top of the door opening ("jamb header") and the ceiling. Refer to door terms—headroom for headroom requirements.

  5. Depth—The distance from the garage door opening toward the back wall of the garage.
    Depth: ____ ft. _______ inches.

Obstructions
Consider the following when taking the measurements:

Ceiling Obstructions : Pipes, heating duct, beam, lights, storage loft, attic, etc.

Distance from floor to bottom of obstruction ________feet ________inches.
Distance from door opening back to obstruction _______feet ________inches .
